A watch should feel right on your wrist and make sense on paper. These are the details to consider when choosing a pre-owned piece.
Start with fit
Check the case measurements and the bracelet or strap fit listed for the individual watch. Case diameter alone does not tell you how a watch will wear. If your wrist measurement is close to a stated limit, ask about the fit and whether additional links are included before ordering.
Look closely at condition
Review the dial, case, crystal, bracelet and clasp photographs alongside the description. Pre-owned pieces can show scratches, ageing and previous alterations. If an area is unclear, ask for a closer view. Where presentation images have been edited, read the image disclosure and request unedited photographs before relying on fine details.
Understand what “running” means
A watch that is running has not necessarily been tested for accuracy, serviced or pressure-tested. Read the exact wording of the listing and ask which checks have been carried out. Do not assume water resistance from the model name or a marking on the case.
Check what comes with the watch
Box, papers, spare links and other accessories vary by piece. Use the individual listing to confirm what is included. If an item is not specified, ask before purchasing.
Review the details before checkout
Confirm the reference, condition, wrist fit and included items. Review the refund policy, and check the currency, delivery options and final total shown at checkout. Contact us if information important to your purchase is missing.
Ask about a particular piece
Send the watch name or product link, your wrist measurement if relevant, and the details you would like to clarify.
